Here’s the latest non-invasive technology to fight hair loss for men and women

Updated: Dec 30, 2022

At Dermace Laser Clinic, we’re thrilled to introduce the latest non-surgical technology, TED by Alma lasers to our male and female clients who are suffering from hair loss.

As seen on the Today Show, TED featured the most advanced non-invasive technology to stimulate stronger, fuller hair regrowth. It treats male and female pattern baldness, known as androgenetic alopecia.

What causes my hair loss?

Hair loss affects about 50 per cent of men in Canada over the age of puberty, according to the Canadian Dermatology Association. This commonly includes thinning hair at the crown of the head and a receding hairline.

If you are experiencing hair loss, your beard, goatee, and eyebrows may also thin out, creating patchy spots. And we understand that can be a disturbing reality.

The underlying reason for hair loss hair may be related to lifestyle ha

bits, life events, or genetics. There may also be a medical condition causing you to experience hair loss. This can include immune system deficiencies (i.e. thyroid disorders, anemia).

Lifestyle habits can include:

  • Experiencing chronic stress: overactive stress hormones can trigger your hair to fall out.

  • Deficient in minerals that help follicles produce hair naturally: Iron, folic acid, and vitamin D.

  • Damaging your hair: chemical treatments, harsh styling products, excessive heat styling, and wearing tight hairstyles can cause thin spots over time.

  • Smoking: tobacco can damage your hair follicles, increasing the risk of hair loss.

Life events that can lead to hair loss:

  • Lost a significant amount of weight in a short amount of time

  • Experience hormonal changes (i.e. increased DHT, menopause, changes in birth control)

  • Recently gave birth

  • Post-covid hair loss

Genetic conditions that can cause hair loss:

  • Aging

  • Alopecia

If this sounds like you, you may be the perfect candidate for the TED treatments!

How does TED restore hair loss hair?

TED is an ultrasound-based system that uses sound waves. The technician will apply a serum to the scalp or treatment area. Using the applicator head, TED penetrates the serum deep into the pores to stimulate hair regrowth. The serum contains essential ingredients that support hair health and follicle strength.

Is TED painful?

The TED treatment is fast, needle-free, and does not require pain relief or numbing agents. It delivers effective results on all skin colours and hair types.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients will need three TED treatments for optimal results. Treatments are scheduled four weeks apart. Many clients start to notice results within 3 weeks of the initial treatment, however optimal results will be seen 3 months after the 3 treatments.

Am I a good candidate for TED treatments?

Yes, if you are experiencing hair loss, you are a good candidate for TED treatments.

Our goal is to help restore your confidence and keep you comfortable during the process. TED treatments are a pain-free, efficient solution for hair restoration.
